Jyoti Hanagud Kaneria

Jyoti Kaneria is the Program Coordinator for the Georgia Tech Division of Professional Practice (DoPP) Work Abroad Program. Her responsibilities include advising students on work abroad opportunities, promoting the Work Abroad Program and office management.

Mrs. Kaneria works with all employers and students interested in working in Central and South America (except Brazil), and Asia (to include India and all countries east except for Australia and New Zealand).

Prior to joining DoPP in 2007, Mrs. Kaneria advised and worked with international students for five years as an English as a Second Language teacher; and, more recently, was Program Operations Manager for the Georgia Department of Human Resources Limited English Proficiency and Sensory Impaired Program. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Cultural Anthropology from Guilford College and a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics from Georgia State University. Her Master level research focused on cross cultural communication and sociolinguistics.
