Her responsibilities include advising students on working abroad, working with employers on global recruiting programs, and preparing students to work abroad through cross cultural training and career development. She works with employers located in, and students interested in, job opportunities in Asia (to include India and all countries east except for Australia and New Zealand).
Ms. Burya earned her Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication from Miami University (Ohio). During her undergraduate career, she had the opportunity to study abroad in Luxembourg for one semester. She has also completed her Master of Education in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of South Carolina (USC). During her time in graduate school, she worked as the graduate assistant in the USC Study Abroad Office advising students as well as completing projects and presentations associated with international education. She interned in Taiwan at Ming Chuan University's International Education and Exchange Division for a summer, and worked at Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) in India as a Resident Counselor for Duke University's TIP Program. She is actively involved in NAFSA (Association of International Educators) and is pleased with the chance to expand on her experience in the area of in international education.
